Moreton Bay EEC kicked Term 4 off with a splash with young scientists from the Brisbane School of Distance Education and the Anglican Church Grammar School joining us for our Moreton Bay Studies - Marine Science and Moreton Bay Studies - Biology programs. On-board our vessel, Inspiration, the students were engaged in an exciting day of thinking and learning. Our floating classroom provided access to technology, using our Baited Remote Underwater Video cameras and an Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle to gather data on fish abundance and distribution as well as benthic habitat. They developed their scientific skills, using data collected to determine the effects of various factors on the fish stocks in the Bay.
We are looking forward to having further inquisitive young scientists join us out on the bay in the weeks to come!
