The enthusiastic Prep students from Morningside State School stepped into the role of Super Scientists during their recent Living by the Bay adventure.
Using their senses to observe, explore and investigate, students discovered the amazing natural world of Quandamooka from Manly foreshore to Winnam Pond and gardens at our centre.
Through hands-on investigations, the Prep students looked closely at the external features of animals and learned how these special adaptations help living things grow, survive and thrive in their habitats.
From spotting creatures hidden amongst the mangroves and intertidal zone to examining the colours, shapes and coverings of different garden minibeasts, our young scientists were busy making observations, asking questions and sharing their discoveries.
What a fantastic day of curiosity, exploration and connection with nature. We loved seeing these budding scientists engage with the environment and deepen their understanding of the living world around them.
Congratulations Morningside State School Prep for your delight and wonder as you investigated these special places using your Super Scientist senses!
