Moreton Bay EEC, together with hosts from Cleveland District State High School had an incredible adventure with the international students from Sheng Kung Girl's High School (Taiwan). They had a fantastic day exploring the beauty of the Moreton Bay Ramsar Internationally important wetlands.
Students gained insights into the importance of conserving and wisely using these valuable ecosystems and their resources. They worked together conducting a plankton trawl and were amazed to discover the diverse array of plankton species that play a vital role in the bay's food chains and overall health. Their findings were enlightening and they confidently presented them to the class.
Students also spent time on Noogoon (St Helena Island) where they explored the wonders of the foreshore and intertidal zone.
After a day full of adventure and learning, the students had grown their knowledge of marine ecosystems and gained appreciation for the importance of vital conservation efforts.
