Learning outdoors is incredible! We absolutely loved facilitating our first kindy Outdoor Classroom Day in partnership with Quandamooka Culture in Community.

It was such a special occasion to have Uncle Norm and Aunty Becky officially open the yarning circle on the grounds of Wynnum State School and MBEEC - we felt so privileged and excited to be a part of it all!

The young children & adults alike experienced the Welcome to Country by Uncle Norm, stories from Aunty Becky, engaging in Quandamooka culture, dance & language with Matt Burns and interacting with special guests from Geckoes Wildlife. The Brisbane Bayside State College students kept young minds active with hands on activities.

As Aunty Merle said, “Thank you to everyone who made the day absolutely “DEADLY!" A special thanks to Aunty Merle; Sarah, Kate and Michelle from the Department and the 87 little ones who had the best day.
