Moreton Bay EEC has a range of bespoke programs tailored to provide international students with a unique opportunity to explore one of Australia's most significant marine environments. Set within the stunning waters and islands of Moreton Bay, the program provides hands-on learning experiences that connect science, culture, and sustainability. Students investigate the diverse ecosystems, marine life, and conservation challenges of this World Heritage listed region.
Guided by expert educators, students take part in field-based scientific investigations, from water quality testing and plankton sampling to studying seagrass meadows and mangrove forests. These immersive experiences deepen students' understanding of coastal ecology while highlighting the importance of protecting marine environments for future generations.
Cultural learning is also woven throughout the program. Through partnerships with Quandamooka Traditional Owners, international students gain insight into thousands of years of connection to Country and sustainable living practices. These special opportunities not only enhance scientific knowledge, but also fosters global citizenship and respect for Australia's unique cultural and environmental heritage.
