Moreton Bay EEC is a licensed provider of the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, offering students the opportunity to engage in a globally recognised program that develops resilience, leadership, and personal growth. Through participation in the Award, students undertake activities across key areas including skill development, physical recreation, service, and adventurous journeys. MBEEC supports schools by providing structured opportunities for students to challenge themselves in outdoor and community-based settings, encouraging them to set goals, persist through challenges, and celebrate their achievements. The program not only enriches student learning but also builds transferable life skills that extend well beyond the classroom.
For schools, partnering with MBEEC to deliver the Duke of Edinburgh program ensures students experience a safe, well-supported, and curriculum-aligned pathway to developing essential capabilities. The Centre's expertise in environmental education and outdoor experiences provides a strong foundation for the adventurous journey component, while its focus on service and skill-building connects directly to student wellbeing and leadership initiatives. By participating, schools are able to expand co-curricular offerings, strengthen student engagement, and support the development of confident, independent, and community-minded young people. With its international recognition, the Award also enhances students' future study and career opportunities, adding value to both school programs and individual student pathways.
Moreton Bay EEC facilitates the Bridge (Adventure Journeys 1 & 2) and Bronze Award programs.
