​NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. NAIDOC stands for ‘National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee’ with the acronym also being the name of the week itself. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. Moreton Bay EEC are active participants in NAIDOC Week with indigenous guests speakers and activities organised in and around the centre.​
