Moreton Bay EEC, together with Matt Burns (Quandamooka Cultural Officer), were excited to start Term 3 celebrating NAIDOC with students from Wynnum and Tingalpa State Schools. Over 500 students visited the centre over two days, taking part in a cultural presentation, indigenous games, story-time and bush-tucker discovery.
The theme for 2023 of “For our Elders" encourages us to acknowledge and celebrate our elders as trailblazers, nurturers, advocates, teachers, survivors, leaders and loved ones. Across every generation, our Elders have played, and continue to play, an important role and hold a prominent place in our communities and families.
