Our staff were very busy over the holidays exploring new experiences for students of the centre! Tim spent time with NewSpec and the Inspire STEM Education Team learning how to drive the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Students will be able to see hidden worlds, resulting in increased thinking about processes in Moreton Bay.

The image below is the shell of a bivalve magnified to 300x. Tim believes the circular shape is the beginnings of a baby barnacle forming on the shell!
